Jason is getting boring - but so is Brooke, IMO. They're both folk singers - not pop stars. Carly has an incredible voice, but I don't think she's exciting as a performer. I wish David Archuleta would sing something more age appropriate - why must he always sing deep songs with a message!? He's 17!

I loved David Cook's Billie Jean - even if it was a ripoff, his voice was amazing. He and Michael are my faves.

I seriously cannot comprehend how you would want Carly to be the one sent home. Are you joking? I really, really don't get that. I think Carly is fabulous. Her voice is amazing and she has a great personality. What is not too like? Seriously, you saying you want her to go just blew my mind.

I missed last week, but this week, Chickezie seemed weak to me. Ramiele was just ok and is probably in danger, I agree. David Archuleta bugs me but like you said I'm sure he'll hang in there (long past his time, imho). The whole "Proud to be an American" think was just weird to me. I thought the performance was incredibly cheesy and the way all three judges raved and glowed enthusiastically about the song choice seemed scripted to me.

I love Micheal John, he is so sexy, and he was great last night.
Ramiele is going home. Carly is excellent, I think Pop does not care for her because she is a bit high on herselfI love Jason and Brooke's style, but they are a bit boho for AI.

I am somewhat in agreement Pop. I told my husband after two people had performed (after Jason) that I couldn't even remember what Jason sang. I'm personally NOT a fan of David Cook, I know that I was in the minority, but I hated the arangement, the pace, the way he sang. The whole thing was a big poop sandwich for me.

My favorites are David C., Brooke, Carly, and Michael. I think Kristy needs to go home. I have not been impressed yet. She only got through to the top 24 by singing Amazing Grace. Everything else was just lackluster.

I watched but now can't remember, if it was implied that David reworked Billie Jean or not. If so, that's crap! If not, he did take a chance in singing that version and he did do it well.

I agree with others I think David A is a cutie (even though I'm old enough to be his mom) but he does need to sing some young hip stuff. He no doubt can sing, he just needs to bring it.

I have to say I really like Brooke but agree she needs to step out of the folk song genre. She has talent.

Michael Johns - swoon! David Cook did not impress me as much as he did everyone else. Yes, he has talent, but I think he has a huge head and just completely ripped off Chris Cornell which thank goodness is making its way around the internet. People at first thought that was alllll his idea and it wasnt. To me he is just riding on what Chris Daughtry did last season. And Chris Daughtry himself was reworking other peoples ideas. Right now it is all about Michael Johns for me, that man is gorgeous. Kristy Cook, oh my gosh, she needs to go. I think she is the weakest one up there and I am sorry but that is a tired song.

Calry is awesome! I think she needs much more credit than she's getting. I also like Michael John a lot. I was really pleased with his performance last night!

If Kristy stays another week, I may have to rip my hair out. I have nothing against her song choice, but I don't think she was ever good enough, even compared to some others who have already been voted off!

Michael and David Cook are awesome! I think David Cook is probably my favorite though. I already knew about Chris Cornell's version and I think David did an amazing job.

Before David Cook sang, Ryan didn't say he was singing Michael Jackson's Billie Jean... he said HE IS SINGING THE CHRIS CORNELL VERSION OF BILLIE JEAN. If you say you are singing Chris Cornell, and then you sing Chris Cornell, it is not a rip off! He gave full credit to Chris Cornell before the song even started!

In NO WAY should Carly be sent home. Ramielle, KLC, Chikezie, and Jason Castro should be sent home before her.

I really hope Jason does something amazing next week, he's very entertaining to me. I've never really liked Brooke, she's more boring than Jason, so she should go before him. But Kristy Lee needs to GO already, she's horrible.

Seacrest mentioned that Chris Cornell did it before he sang but it was the judges that said he was original. That David A kid is creepy and I totally agree with Simon he clearly did not pick that song.

I am done with this show. It is so played out to me. Same stuff every season.

GOLD was right - I love love love Jason Castro, and his version of Fragile was so beautiful, but he might be on the wrong show. American Idol is a show for POP singers who are willing to sell out to the idiots who don't know Leonard Cohen or Gordon Sumner. I'd definitely buy Jason Castro's CD when he comes up with one.

They said before David Cook performed that he was performing the Chris Cornell version, so he didn't rip it off. If so, every single performer is ripping off songs. That's what they do, people!

It is a fact that Ryan announced that Cook was "singing the Chris Cornell version of Billie Jean" before Cook took the stage. And it is a fact that Cook gave a solid performance.

But to call Cook, in Randy's words, "the most original" and the "most bold" for a song that he didn't even arrange himself? Cook wasn't even the first rocker to do something like that. Are we all forgetting Chris Daughtry singing the Chili Peppers' version of Stevie Wonder's "Higher Ground?" Both Daughtry and Cook did exactly the same thing: sing a remake of an original song, and sing it well. So to call Cook "original" is total crap. He's good, yes he is. A talented singer and musician. But original? No.

It's amazing how quickly Randy & Co. forgot Blake Lewis' rendition of "You Give Love a Bad Name." THAT was Lewis's own arrangement. THAT was bold. THAT was original.
