I thought that the whole premise of AI was to have the best singer out there and so they put influential, talented and accomplished artists to come out and help the artist...

She's in a different league vocally (not in a good way) and with that established, I don't feel that she should have a say on the vocal performances of the contestants because they obviously have talent.... well at least some of them...lol

Yay for Gwen, although sometimes Im sketchy about her live performances. But Kingston makes up in cuteness what she lacks in live singing.

I'm one of gwen's biggest fans, and i'm starting to like J.lo again (not sure why but i do)- but shouldn't american idol have real singers. Someone that these hopefuls can learn from. Christina maybe- Kelly Clarkson.

I can't stand Fantasia, there's always been something about her that just grated on me. This season looks to be a good one. I'm excited about the guest judges this season, maybe it means that the AI contestants will actually sing more popular music. Steer away from the Burt Bacharach, Stevie Wonder, BeeGee's music and sing more current songs. Then we can find out if they really could be pop musicians. IMHO.

Ok, Gwen is growing on me a LITTLE bit, and I'm super glad she's going back to her No Doubt roots, BUT, I don't like her style! Annnd...I hate to say this because it's just a way of life, but, she is aging, you can tell in the last pic. But that's ok.

Yes jennifer is going to be on AI! If you watched Gwens performance, than you shouldn't have a problem with Jennifer performing. Gwen can't sing live, she was really really bad! Well we'll see how Jen does. Wish her the best, the woman has matured vocally so give her a break Geez!
