Sorry I hate her face on the second one...the body is fine but the posture and the face is hideous and she is an ex model who teaches girls how to model so I am frankly appalled.

SI invited her to pose for the issue, it was ten years since she was the first African American who posed on the cover. I'm sure there was some airbrushing going on in the new pic, but either way I think she still looks gorgeous!

Kelly's reaction was priceless. It was actually the same as mine. I didn't believe people when they told me and I thought they were pulling my leg.

Ugh, if only Tyra would get a better hairstyle/color...that cover could have been amazing! Face-down, she's looking great and I'm glad she took a stand and is on the cover...she makes good points about models today and I don't know why people have a problem with her! She looks great and the critics complaining about weight gain are ridiculous..it's been so many years and she STILL looks that good??? It's amazing. Now if she could just fix this hairstyle she's been sporting..that I do not like. But I'm glad she's on the cover again otherwise.

That hair color makes her look older and slightly washed up..she really should go back to dark hair!

What I don't get is why celebrities are even being asked about Britney's hair. If I was in an interview and someone asked me what I thought of Brits shaved head, I'd walk out. That said, anyone seen Jamie Kennedy field the question? I only ask because he appears totally out of it at the time.

I dont like the expression on Tyra's face. Yes everyone is photoshopped but she needs to stop trying to convince everyone she is not fat but taking a picture and then having the sh*t photoshopped out of it! If she is "proud" to be her size then truly be proud. Also you know its not right, look at her belly button, its not the same looks alike a black hole.

Tyra clearly has had some massive photoshopping done to those legs! Or maybe she's wearing pantyhose? Something about her legs just isn't right...like they are a different color or something. And you can blame lighting, but that left leg is shiny.

I like the Original and not because Tyra is maybe 10 lbs lighter , cause I think she looks fantastic in the New one, it's just that it looks a little airbrushed and her hair not such a good choice. The Original has the appeal of the Beach. Wet, Sexy, Bathing Suit, Tease.. You get the point.

I LOVE KELLY CLARKSON!! How funny was her reaction? Classic. And as for Tyra, I think she looks great, but she was FOR SURE airbrushed so I don't understand if the picture was for her to prove a point, or SI to prove a point... If it was her proving that she's still sexy, then why was she airbrushed? And if it's SI, well, of course they'd airbrush her. If they're airbrushing dead sexy Marissa Miller, then they're for sure air-brushing Tyra.

When I was watching that episode of Tyra the other day, I was kind of dissapointed in her for a couple of reasons. She said she was doing the shoot in honor of Black History month because she was the first african american woman on the cover. That is, no doubt a big accomplishment. However, she seemed to be tooting her own horn...kind of in a "look at what I did, wasn't that great? Lets talk about it!" way. Then proceeding to interview her own mother about her experience during the SI cover.
Second point, she recreated the cover...interesting decision. I was looking forward to seeing the results and hoping to see a beautiful woman who is comfortable with herself and her new body and showing that you can gain 20 pounds and still be fabulous. Instead we saw a picture with clear photoshopping and those 20 pounds? Unless its all in her calves I can't see it. In my opinion after the shows she did on body image and the I am woman hear me roar " kiss my fat ass " statement and the sense of positive body image she tried to spread it seems hypocritcal and rather disheartening to see her resort to photoshop.

She looks good in the new picture, but it is definitely photoshopped. I understand that all pictures are photoshopped, but she is trying to prove a point that she still looks relatively the same. Her arms and her stomach are larger than that.
I was watching her show when she was trying on the suit with plans to take the picture. She was complaining that her breasts are way larger now....they look pretty much the same in these pictures. She also claimed it was the same suit on her show...that is a different suit.

Tyra had major massive Photoshop surgery on that one! There is no way anyone over 140 lb (or 161 as she claims) has thighs and legs that thin. She looks fantastic, but if she's all about owning up to her weight and her body, this is a shame.

People love to give this woman a hard time. Sad.

yea I agree with a lot of people, she does look good no matter what, but photoshopping and editing is just defeating the purpose. and yes kenadl her belly button looks totally creepy! you can tell her boobs have gone south lol

Tyra doesn't work for the Sports Illustrated graphic design department people! She's their chosen model for the cover of that issue, and like EVERY model they have had on or in the magazine, she has been photoshopped. She wasn't sitting at the computer in the SI office building photoshopping herself. She posed for the pics and SI has done whatever they want to them, end of story.

I love Kelly Clarkson, I think she is the most down to earth celeb/artist out there. She seems to be exactly like a normal every day girl, and that's why I love her. I guess I'm the most naive person on the planet because I was under the impression that she had said there wasn't any airbrushing done on the pic, and I believed it. I think that she looks amazing on the new cover, but I'm with you April, I don't care for the hair color and style, I just don't think it works for her.

Yeah, it took them 5 hours to Photoshop Beyonce's cover!

I say we lay off of her body, everyone is so mean about it...I think she looks great...AND WHO gives a crap if her boobs have gone south...that's the dumbest comment I've ever heard in my life. Like you can "tell" anyways because the photo has been so "photoshopped"!!
She's a great advocate for young women out there who want to feel good about their bodies. NO ONE is perfect, especially those who point out every little flaw in someone else's body.
