First, I got to say she is just a gorgeous person. Really pretty. (and her sticking up for her castmate leads me to think she is a sweetheart too).

But I feel her colorist is doing her a dis-service. Why does her hair always look brassy (esp. at the SAG awards)? I wonder what her natural color is. I think she would look better with a tone of blonde that complimented her perfect skin a little better.

I think she's gorgeous, sinsational is right on the money, warm AND sexy. I love her and her Grey's character.

I don't like when people eat right, exercise, are physically fit and then do something like smoke to hurt their bodies.

I think she was in a movie I loved when I was younger about two sisters that wished upon a star and traded places. Does anyone know? I think it came on ABC family or something, lol.

OMG - I know that Wishing On a Star movie! I can't remember the exact title and I really don't know if she was in it, but my best friend loved that movie growing up! I'll have to ask her if she remembers.

FB, you are so right! This is what a woman looks like with no makeup. Natural and soft. So that means when she does wear makeup, she is enhancing her features, not hiding them, like Eva. I used to work in cosmetics and it drove me crazy how many women splattered on the makeup like it was war paint. They'd have gorgeous eyes that didn't need any eyeliner, for instance, but they'd start smearing the eyeliner on Liz Taylor style.

Ok. Sorry. I just have a thing for makeup, and its proper usage, lol. Anyway, Katharine Heigl is gorgeous. I read an interview of hers when she was still on Roswell, and she seemed so sweet and fun.

Most doctors who smoke do so because of the long hours, the medical and legal professions have the highest addiction rates regarding smoking and substance abuse issues, something about having a hard time mentally coping with their jobs. My mom is a dean at a medical school... and she can't believe so many of her colleagues smoke!

Skye, exactly!! I don't wear much makeup myself, but that's mostly because I don't have the first clue on how to apply it just right ya know? I wear eyeliner, lipstick, eyeshadow and blush...that's about it for me.

Yes, you're right it was Wish Upon a Star...I always go insane about things like that so I go to imdb website and do a search on the movie or the actor and it lists all their movies they were in, etc. And she was in it and it was in 1996...wow can't believe it was that long ago...I remember she was so pretty in that movie.

Smoking is just that a habit....you act like its something you can just stop doing tomorrow especially if she has been smoking for years....but anyway I didnt know she was a smoker....also remember when she used to date her co star from that show ROSWELL

I've liked Katherine since Roswell too. She's the reason I continue to watch Grey's really.

I was about to write something about how I like that she promotes a healthy look for young girls etc etc, but I suppose the smoking kinda takes away from that. But other than that, she's at a healthy weight and not overdoing it on the partying (as far as we can tell) or showing her nether regions, or haning out with a skanky dude or pounding on the makeup, so there's a bunch of plus points in her favor.

she was also in "My Father The Hero" with Gerard Deperdieu (sp?)......she was unbelieveably gorgeous in that.

Wow... Once again, can't believe she smokes, but I'm sure 1/2 of Hollywood does. I didn't think she was that cute the 1st season of Grey's - I think it was the effed up bangs and prom hair they always gave her. Now that she's keeping it simple I can see how pretty she actually is. I love her outfit here, but I hate to tell you guys - she is wearing makeup... Maybe not a ton, but concealer for sure and it looks like a little eyeshadow too. Still, gorgeous!

Not surprised that doctors smoke. It's a stress reliever for most and curbs appetite as someone mentioned above. I remember KH in My Father The Hero too; she looked fantastic. She's not stick thin as some young actresses are.

I agree with you Starbrite. I guess those people think they're offsetting one nasty habit by doing everything else healthy.

I've lost a lot of family members to lung cancer and I still don't understand why people do it. But that's just me.
