I've said it before and I'll say it again: They couldn't get anyone better to direct shorts in this? "Paris, Je'taime" was fantastic.. stories of New York should be equally so. I've been disappointed by actress' directing skills in the past (Julia Stiles comes to mind) -- I guess I'm just jealous they are handed these amazing opportunities because of pre-established fame instead of some up-and-coming filmmakers (like me!!) getting to put their work out there on such a grand scale. This goes for all the celebrity-turned-fashion-designers out there, too.

Good luck to Scarlett though. Maybe she'll surprise me. I hope she does.

What's with the diss on Coney Island? As a native New Yorker, I love all the locations and boroughs of my city. New York isn't only manhattan.

Doesn't coney Island have sort of a specific look? It just doesn't seem like it would be a back up choice to manhattan the way the article suggests.

God luck to her! I'm looking forward to watch this movie so badly, I guess it will be Paris Je T'aime style. She's such a great actress and a pretty girl. I also think she looks better with her casual style, in the red carpet she always looks older.

I can't judge her directing skills until I've seen how this turns out.

i guess some people like coney island and 'm sure that there's character there that she can use for her film so we'll just have to wait and see how it turns out. i'm sure that it was quite breezy there though - never fun to be shooting out in the cold all day.

Coney Island has undergone extensive beautification and renovations in the past couple of years and more work is due to get done now that most of the amusement park has been sold or part of it will be sold to different contractors and developers. Maybe ScarJo and the group wanted to get a nice shot of the current CI before any major changes are take place and also there are less people and less traffic in the area this time of year, so less distractions.

I wonder if it's completely rip off of Paris Je t'aime - or if it's an official remaking og pendant NYC style...
