Any one that is married or ever dated a POLITE gentleman would know why he “does her hand like this”. He was holding her hand but then he lets her lead the way. So he goes from holding her hand to leading her in front of him. Notice his hand on her back. THIS IS WHAT GENTLEMAN DO!! It has nothing to do with controlling her! My husband (who is very much a gentleman) does this to me often when walking out of places. It's known in my world as respect!
