Jada Is the Essence of Women in Hollywood

While the crowning jewel of award season, the Academy Awards, are Sunday this whole week is full of actors rewarding each other including yesterday's First Annual Essence Black Women In Hollywood luncheon. Jada Pinkett Smith was one of the women of the afternoon and Will was on hand to present the award to his wife for everything that she has done in Hollywood. Tom and Katie (love her shoes) were there to help celebrate and speak about their friend alongside Kerry Washington, Gabrielle Union and Vivica A. Fox just to name a few. Best Supporting Actress Oscar nominee and possible record-breaker Ruby Dee also received an award at the luncheon and who knows, her mantel may be even more full by the end of the weekend!

    i think that it's wonderful that Jada is getting the acclaim that she deserves. she's one of the good ones out there in hollywood.

    Katie and Tom were there to support their friend, Jada in receiving her award. And you don't have to be Black to attend events that honor Black people, people of all colors are invited I'm sure.

    They all look great (especially love Katie's shoes!) and I agree with everyone else...Will Smith is hot! I was flicking through channels the other day and I, Robot was on and OMG Will Smith was so freaking buff in that movie. When he's in the shower and they take that side shot! Drool

    Now I know everyone thinks Katie is a robot but good for her for always wearing heels even though it dwarfs her hubby. LOL!

    Jada looks great, so soft and feminine. One of the reasons she's being honored is for her philanthropy, she has donated one million dollars to the high school(Baltimore School for the Arts) she graduated from. She and Will have a foundation, where they donate money to young people to further their education. Jada has also written an inspiring book titled Girls Hold Up The World, that tackles self esteem issues young girls may face.
