Drew Barrymore looks virtually unrecognizable on the March cover of Vogue. Seriously, talk about being dead in the eyes — and that stare is coming from one of the spunkiest actresses out there. I mean, her wax figure was unveiled in London this weekend, and it looks more alive than she does here. Anyway, hopefully the inside spread will show off more of the Drew we love, and at least her personality and tenacity shines through in the interview. She said:
"I think I had some mechanism in my head that said, 'If you don't pull it together for yourself, no one else will.'. . . That's coming from a person who had to try it all . . . and who still loves to have a good time . . . I do believe in 'Work hard, play hard,' but 'Work hard' always comes first, and it did even when I was wild and young."
While there's no question that Drew is a career-minded woman — acting, producing, and now directing — considering how often we've been seeing her lovely dovey times with Justin Long recently, it seems she's found some time to play too.
