4 kids in three years. that is alot. is it possible to have 2 sets of twins?

It is possible to have several twins! I believe that the chance you have of getting twins is determined genetically (correct me if I'm wrong), so people who've already had twins are definitely able of getting another set!

Do celebs even believe in hand me downs? Or do they buy all new stuff for each new baby? LOL I kept my daughter's crib and you best believe that six years later when I had my son, he slept in the same crib. In fact, my sister had my niece in between my two kids and my niece slept in the crib a couple of times too!

I am pretty sure Julia Roberts had fertility treatment with her first set of twins....either medicine to help her ovulate or IVF treatment...I'm also sure Marcia Cross had fertility treatment as well...both of them are having their first child pretty late...

With identical twins - its just a chance happening...one fertilised egg splits...the natural rate of this is 2.5%, and this has been unchanged in most populations...

With non-identical twins...two eggs are fertilised...the natural rate of this used to be 2.5% chance per birth, but this has gone up a lot...part of it is for natural reasons...older women are also more likely to have messed up ovulation (releasing 2 eggs in one cycle as opposed to one, etc)...but the main cause is fertility treatments...

Julia's first set of twins are non-identical (boy and girl)...it is highly unlikely that if she is pregnant again with twins, that it is naturally...

My mind is thinking, if she is having one and is buying multiple cribs etc. for multiple homes, why wouldn't she change it up and decorate the nurseries differently? I'm sure the rest of the rooms in her multiple homes are carbon copies of each other.

twins run in Julia's family so she didn't necessarily have fertility treatemnt. what I am suprised by i $10,000 on baby stuff for someone else?!?! celebs just have any concept of money in the real world

I wouldn't assume twins based on that. The woman I nanny for buys 2 of everything bc they have two houses.

I agree Twinkle...plus...even if she had twins 'naturally' the first time...a second set is just too much to swallow...yes, there are families with 2 sets of twins - but either they've had fertility treatment, or they've had some other single kids in between....the statistical chance of having 2 sets of twins one after the other, is very unlikely....add to that the fact that Julia is an older mother...fertility treatments are definitely the more obvious choice...

Of course she's on fertility drugs. Even without fertility drugs, my grandfather came from a family of ten, 4 sets of twins and two single births (ouch, for some reason the thought of that many kids makes me nauseated). So, it could happen, but it's most likely she had some help.
